As Micro Metal Hybrid Thread, Tinsel & Wire Antique is lightweight it is particularly good as a rib on larger flies eg dries where you don’t want the weight of a traditional wire but want that visible rib.

With a very thin core you can wind Micro Metal Hybrid Thread, Tinsel & Wire Antique as it’s a soft metal tinsel over a core so that this can be used as both a thicker thread or just for tying ribs and bodies.
